Ateles builds Web Shop for Danish Biblioteksmedier
Biblioteksmedier AB supplies books, audio books, films and other lease products to the libraries in Denmark. The company has engaged Ateles to build an optimally efficient Web Shop.
“Ateles was recommended to us by IFS and I think our cooperation works really well,” says Inge Holm Pedersen at Biblioteksmedier. Biblioteksmedier has used the Swedish IFS Applications business system since 1999. The challenge for Ateles consisted in building a Web Shop that was fully integrated with the business system.
Another challenge was to simplify and streamline the handling of the large number of products in the Web Shop. This was solved by adapting the user interface and creating a search function so that the customers could easily find and order the right product. In order to simplify the administration of the around 120 000 different products, the Web Shop is updated by IFS and another external database from which many of the pictures are also retrieved.
Web Shop, marketing – all integrated
The marketing of Biblioteksmedier is based largely on the newsletter that the company sends out to its customers. There are several different news letter categories that are adapted to different customer groups. The Web Shop, the homepage and the newsletters are now fully integrated and implemented in ePages 6, and people at Biblioteksmedier are very pleased with the result and with Ateles’ input. “They know what they are doing, always deliver as agreed and are good at following up,” says Inge Holm Pedersen, who laughs while saying: “And they are not as conventional as some Swedes can be!”
The project in brief
